At Disney Children’s Hospital at Florida Hospital we understand the need to be as efficient and easily accessible as possible. That is why we've streamlined our admission and referral efforts to cater to the needs of our community physicians.

Direct Admissions to the Hospital
Disney Children’s Hospital at Florida Hospital has established a simplified admission process to streamline admission to the hospital. A pediatric admission nurse will walk your office through the pre-admission process for the pediatric units. The nurse can handle all direct admissions from your office. To contact the Pediatric Admission Nurse please call (407) 303-5600 ext. 6324.

Once the nurse has gathered the necessary information needed for admission, he or she will set up a process for communicating with you via fax, cell, phone or pager to notify your office of the bed assignment and estimated time of admission. It’s our goal to have the admission nurse alleviate the stress of getting your patient to the hospital quickly and efficiently.

Using a Hospitalist
If you wish to use a hospitalist, Disney Children's Hospital at Florida Hospital works with two groups. We encourage you to call these groups directly to arrange for an admission. Your office can make arrangements with them by calling:

For Intensive Care Admissions
Physicians can refer their patients directly for admission in the PICU by calling the intensivist directly. The intensivist will update your office regarding the status of your patients in the PICU.
