A trip to the emergency department is never fun. When a child is injured or extremely ill and in pain, the hubbub of a community hospital emergency area can be downright scary. At Disney Children’s Hospital at Florida Hospital, we make the extra effort to ensure that your child isn’t scared. Our waiting area is specially decorated and includes television programs and toys to keep your child and their siblings occupied while they await care. We're even adding the new Philips Ambient Experience lighting which helps provide a bright and friendly environment.

A Caring Staff Who’ll Put Your Child At Ease
Disney Children’s Hospital at Florida Hospital has a dedicated team of pediatric emergency department physicians and nurses who are trained to treat children at their time of greatest need. Everyone, from the admissions clerk to the attending physician, knows the extra commitment, compassion and care children need when receiving treatment in the emergency department. They go out of their way to be friendly and will be more than happy to answer your questions in simple, plain-talking terms.
